Often, academic papers require just copy editing. Academic authors know what they want to say and how to structure
their explanations logically. But they sometimes need help forming the text.

Expert knowledge
As an academic author, you are a specialist in your own particular field, and the content of your papers is often
complex.
I may not be an expert in your field, but I have research qualifications and experience sufficient to edit papers in
most technical areas.

If I don't understand something in your paper, I highlight the text and write a comment on a separate "comments sheet".
You respond to these comments, and between us we resolve the issue by email.

Non-native speakers
Academics who are not native English speakers often want to publish their papers in English-language journals.
Regardless of the quality of the research, unless the English is perfect, getting papers accepted is difficult.
I have the qualifications and experience to help non-native speakers produce

Although I have worked with several other cultures, I still find some papers written by non-native
speakers difficult to edit. So, they take longer and cost more. more
Sometimes, the meaning of a passage (short piece of text) is unclear, because the author has used a word incorrectly.
When I can't understand a passage, I ask the author to re-write it using different words. If necessary, I ask someone
who speaks the author's language to help.
